My philosophy on Instructional Coaching
"Building teacher capacity and efficacy through guidance, relevance, and relationships." |
An instructional coach should be someone who can easily build rapport with his/her colleagues and use that relationship to guide teachers in implementing new teaching practices. Research shows that teachers are more likely to try something new when it’s coming from someone they know and trust, as well as when they’re given a realistic implementation plan.
My goal as an instructional coach is to model instructional strategies and support lesson design that is driven by data and enhances student achievement as well as aligns with the district and principal’s vision for their school. My strengths in building relationships, instructional strategies, and integration of technology will lead me to achieving this goal. |
